Description
Every time I got to the end of my country road, I always turned right. It was my routine—until the day I made a different choice. On this day, I turned left, and in one split second, my life was forever altered.
As I headed east that late September morning, the rising sun crested the hill, flooding my windshield and my vision with blinding light. How could I have possibly known what awaited beyond that brightness—my neighbor, deep sorrow, profound healing, and ultimately, miraculous grace?
We all carry the weight of past decisions, mistakes, and burdens. How do we truly forgive ourselves, and more importantly, how do we understand and embrace God’s forgiveness? How is it possible to uncover beauty and purpose where only ashes seemingly remain? What does it truly mean to let go and allow God to lead?
Sometimes the brightness ahead is so intense, so blinding, that we cannot see where the road leads. In those moments, we have no choice but to surrender our fears, reach upward, and place our trust in the One who holds the perspective from above.
